The Heavens Declare the Glory of God!

Okay, what would prompt a local weather website to share the 19th Psalm at the bottom of every page? Answer: a strong faith in Almighty God which is shared by many Marquetters. This is an historical Catholic community named after French Jesuit missionary Father Jacques Marquette. Our weather station is only 2 blocks from beautiful St. Peter Cathedral with many neighbors attending mass regularly. The Jacobetti Home for Veterans, half a block away, plays hymns publicly twice per day (12 PM, 6 PM).

While my wife, Monique, and I (John) are not Roman Catholics, we do consider ourselves members of the universal (Greek word: katholikos) Church of Jesus Christ (Eph 2:19-22). We worship the Lord from our home every day, and we pray people will come to know the life-changing power Jesus makes available to everyone (John 10:10, Acts 2:38-39).

However, we are here to serve you no matter your belief system.  If you would like someone to talk with and/or pray for you, please visit our contact form. Maybe you just want to chat about the weather? We like doing that too!

Situated on the shores of Lake Superior, Marquette is a beautiful community with very lively weather! We seek to honor the Creator (Col 1:16) by recording and sharing just a small part of what He is doing in our sphere.

More than anything, we want you to know that there is hope! Simply going outside and looking upward at the expanse should show you that Something much larger than you is at work every moment!

Thank you for visiting, and come again soon!
