Jesus the Servant King

5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.
9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
[Philippians 2:5-11 World English Bible]

The word “Christ” derives from a Greek word (christos) meaning “Anointed One”. In ancient Israel, people were anointed as kings, prophets or priests. According to the Bible, Jesus is all three: king (John 1:49), prophet (Acts 3:22-23), high priest (Hebrews 6:20).

He was proven to be the Christ when God raised Him from the dead (Acts 10:39-41). He was seen in the flesh by hundreds of witnesses, including the primary authors of the New Testament (1 Cor 15:4-8).

Everything in heaven and on earth, including this website, is under His authority (Romans 11:36, Colossians 1:15-17).

To join His peaceful (John 14:27), loving (John 15:10), eternal kingdom (Matthew 6:13), one must repent (Acts 26:20) and truly believe that Jesus is the risen Lord (Rom 10:9-10).

As servants of King Jesus, my wife and I give as He freely gave (Matthew 10:8). This ad-free website is an infinitesimally small representation of the goodness of God (Romans 8:32). The knowledge herein pales when compared to the perfection of our Sovereign Creator (Hebrews 1:1-4).

Nonetheless, please avail yourself to every resource we offer. If you have any questions or need prayer, do not hesitate to reach out!
