Due to an impending cross country move by the owner in early October, this site will no longer be collecting weather data as of October 1, 2024. Archived data & forecasts will remain online through December 31, 2024 with current conditions pulled from other local stations as they are available. By 2025, the site will go offline.

As an alternative, we recommend Weather Underground. It is not a one-for-one replacement, however it surpasses its competitors by reporting locally measured conditions (rather than weather model interpolations), and its forecasts are based, in part, on those measurements.

We appreciate everyone who visited this site over the years!

UPDATE 9/16/24: It looks like the generous folks at PastyNET and WHWL have agreed to host an archive of the Weather History page indefinitely at their expense. Other pages will be taken down, including this blog, in early 2025.

  • I hate to see you go. I have enjoyed your website since it’s inception and will definitely miss it. Blessings is you embark on this new chapter in your life.

    • I wish there were someone who could take it over! But it takes a somewhat unique combination of programming and weather observation knowledge, plus the necessary funds to maintain/replace the equipment and web hosting account. On top of that, they would need sufficient space and proper exposure for the installation of the equipment. In town, the options are quite limited. The website is mostly geared toward the city, not outlying areas which are more conducive to siting requirements. We were blessed to acquire this corner property which is why we chose to give back to the community in this way.

  • While it’s a bummer the site is closing down, we wish you all the best. For years it’s been a must-check, both personally and professionally, for up-to-the-second data on what’s happening here in the city. Thanks for the service you’ve provided!

  • It has taken me a while to make this post, John, because I’m crushed. Totally crushed. The loss of your amazing site is obviously going to affect a great number of people, but darn it anyhow, I’m taking this personally. It’s like breaking up with a boyfriend… tis better to have loved and lost, than to never have run across your site at all so many years ago. I must, however, wish you well on your move and whatever else that entails. Please always remember that you served Marquette well. Thank you. Thank you.
